Semester Planning

This page contains the schedule for the regular modules, followed by 2 tabs with the block seminars and external courses shown further down. Regular modules, which are shown next to each other in the same time slot, are held alternately (every two weeks) and can therefore both be selected. Please read all the information carefully.

Required Modules
For your orientation the required modules intended for you have been preselected.

Block Seminars

  • You may want to attend block seminars in September 2022 for which you do not yet meet the prerequisites. As the block seminars take place after the regular semester, you can register for them by emailing the master's secretariat by 31 May 2022.
  • Some block seminars build up on block seminars that take place shortly before. In this case their prerequisites are given here only as information. However please note that you can only attend them if you meet the prerequisites. Otherwise the master's secretariat reserves the right to cancel your registration.
  • If you would like to graduate in September 2022 the registration for block seminars in September is not possible due to time constraints.

Seperate Registration for Master's Thesis, External Courses, Study Week

  • The master's thesis project has to be registered with a seperate form which can be found on ILIAS (deadlines are 1 February / 1 July).
  • There is no possibility to enter registrations  for external courses in this internal web registration. Please use the given links for more information. The information to IBM will be updated soon.
  • The study week in spring semester 2022 has been cancelled. If you would like to finish your master's studies in September, please select an other elective module from our curriculum to fulfill the required minimum of 120 ECTS.

No Registration Window for Retakes
You cannot register for any retakes yet. For this, a separate registration window has been scheduled from 17 February until 10 March 2022. The corresponding information will be given on 17 February 2022. Registrations for modules which need to be retaken and were mistakenly made in the regular web registration, will be cancelled automatically.

NoSQL Lab with Python & MongoDB (previous Big Data Lab 1)
This module (W.MSCIDS_BDL03_1...) can either be taken in the first half (...F2201) or B in the second half of the semester (...F2202). You cannot attend the module in both halves of the semester.

Scientific Writing and Presentation Skills – Input and Coaching
You can only attend this module (W.MSCIDS_CW03) if you have already registered for the preliminary study.
